Korineum Golf Club in North Cyprus

The Korineum Golf Club in Esentepe has opened nine of its 18 holes to members and their guests, while the remaining part of the course is expected to be unveiled next month.

Its academy and three training holes are currently available to the public and the club's restaurant is open for lunch only, with a bar serving drinks until about 8pm.

Esra Ariman, a spokeswoman for the Korineum, said: "We are opening the course in stages. A grand opening will probably take place in March."

Meanwhile, an ambitious scheme to create North Cyprus's second 18-hole golf course has been put on hold because of difficulties in finding a suitable area of land encompassing 500 donums.
