Clear-up time

Lefkosa Municipality workers have begun clearing up a traffic island on the Near East Bulvari. Work started on Tuesday in the area between the Near East University roundabout and the Ataturk Cultural Park. Once the work is completed, plans are being made to put in 240 plants. The renovation of the traffic island coincides with the beginning of the academic year for schools and universities and the intention is to provide a new, green area for students.
